Cork/Rubber Gasket Material

Premium products made in the USA and engineered for gasket and dampening applications.

We manufacture three types of cork/rubber gasket/dampening materials in our Mauldin, South Carolina plant:

These cork rubber gasket materials work in automotive, aviation, agriculture, railroad, marine, petroleum, compressor, pump, and electrical applications. They’re affordable and eco-friendly, resist solvents and temperature changes, and are easier to cut than rubber.

All DayStrong gasket materials have a cloth backing, keyed to the cork/rubber compound during vulcanization. The backing forms a permanent bond with the compound, for excellent strength, resilience and stability to the items cut from the master rolls.

DK153/DK154 Cork/Rubber Gasket Material

DK153/DK154 are engineered and manufactured for a range of industrial applications.

DK153/DK154 is a cork-loaded SBR rubber material. The DayStrong vulcanization process adds sponginess for better compressibility and sealing. Sanded to gauge,  the exposed granulated cork provides high surface friction for a superior mechanical seal.

Available with standard pressure-sensitive adhesive (DK153) or without (DK154).

  • Complies with European Union REACH and RoHS Directives
  • Can be certified for contact with foodstuffs (CFR 21.177.2600 paragraphs A-D, Rubber articles intended for repeated use for contact with foodstuffs)
  • DK153 ready for certification to AMS-T-6841 or other standards upon request

DK165/DK166 Cork/Rubber Gasket Material

DK165/DK166 are manufactured for various applications with or without PSA.

DK165/DK166 is a cork loaded NBR (nitrile) rubber material, vulcanized and ground in roll form. The NBR elastomer provides good oil and fuel resistance. Sanded to gauge after vulcanization, the exposed granulated cork provides high surface friction for a superior mechanical seal.

Available with standard pressure-sensitive adhesive (DK165) or without (DK166). Complies with European Union REACH and RoHS Directives.
